Universal Beijing Resort and China Life Establish Strategic Partnership
National Insurance Company partnering with Universal Beijing Resort to support fantastic entertainment experience, while jointly driving high-quality development of cultural tourism

Oct 26, 2020, Beijing – Universal Beijing Resort (UBR) and China Life today announced a strategic partnership, pledging cooperation in areas including insurance services, brand marketing and social welfare programs, the agreement will serve to provide guests at UBR with a safety insurance while they enjoy a fun entertainment experience in the park.

With the agreement, China Life has been designated as the official insurance partner for UBR, providing UBR with comprehensive insurance service during construction and operation. Thus far during the construction phase, China Life has already provided insurance products with a sum insured totaling approximately 30 billion RMB with coverage including construction projects and liability insurance. After UBR’s grand opening, China Life will also provide customized insurance services based on the guests’ needs, the park's operating standards and a range of scenarios. Through the partnership with China Life, UBR has access to appropriate insurance coverage to provide peace of mind to the partners and guests.

Management team of Beijing International Resort Co., Ltd. (BIRC) commented as, Beijing Tourism Group and BIRC are looking forward to this partnership with China Life, the leading state-owned financial and insurance group. This cooperation will act as an example of cooperation between cultural tourism industry and the financial and insurance industry. While promoting the healthy recovery of their respective industries in the short term, this partnership, in the mid to long term, is also poised to inject more confidence and vitality into the overall development of the regional economy and the Beijing sub-center.

The partnership will also make use of UBR’s global insights on markets and consumers to drive a series of brand co-marketing creative activities. Among them, UBR will integrate the China Life brand elements familiar with Chinese customers into the immersive storyline of Decepticoaster in Transformers Metrobase land with an innovative, narrative-driven approach aimed at all guests, including the appearance of a "China Life Robot (CL Bot)".

The partnership with Universal Beijing Resort reflected China Life’s active responses to the determination and initiative from the Party Central Committee, as well as implementation of supporting the sustainable economic recovery and high-quality development of the cultural tourism industry. Through providing UBR with comprehensive insurance service for its construction and operation, China Life will be assisting the construction of Beijing's "Four Centers" positions (as center of political, culture, international exchange, and technology innovation) and ultimately contribute to the collaborative development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei. China Life will continue leveraging its leading capabilities in financial services and professional capability to provide insurance services for Universal Beijing Resort and its guests.

With their shared values and dedication to serving communities, UBR and China Life will also explore how to combine efforts to develop corporate social responsibility initiatives to be rolled out in the future.
