On June 5th World Environment Day, Universal Beijing Resort held a series of themed team member activities at its construction site to advocate for environmental protection, calling on team members to strengthen their awareness of environmental protection, and contribute to a "green Universal and beautiful Tongzhou."
At 10:30 A.M., 11 executives of Universal Beijing Resort participated in the tree planting activity at the construction site. As an important work of implementing the green construction idea and building a garden-style construction site, Universal Beijing Resort aims to first grow 340 thousand square meters of plants in 2019, including North American begonia, buffalograss, cosmos bipinnatus, etc. The North American begonia trees planted by executives during the campaign will be part of the site greening initiative, bringing green color and vitality to the site.
A green-themed children's drawing competition was also held the same day. Team members' children drew pictures with the subject of "protect blue sky, beat air pollution and green transportation." The winners were voted by all team members. On June 5th, colorful and imaginative paintings expressing kids' passion and anticipation for green environment lined up in the lobby of the Project Management Center.
A company-wide online environmental protection knowledge contest was held the day before the World Environment Day. The activity combined knowledge with fun and encouraged team members to learn more about this subject and take actions at work and in life.
Universal Beijing Resort implements green construction by innovative technology and site greening initiatives. After the grand opening, it will continue to take sustainability as a critical consideration and strive to become an addition to the city sub-center's "green color and blue sky with freshness and brightness" environment.
