Indominus rex was the first hybrid to be created from scratch by Dr. Wu and his colleagues. Genes from various carnivorous dinosaurs and modern-day creatures with unique characteristics were cobbled together to create the Indominus rex.

Blue—named for the iridescent stripe running down the length of her body—was special from the moment she hatched. The last raptor on Isla Nublar is not only the largest but the deadliest. She was almost 20 percent larger than the first raptors. Just like a Bengal tiger, Blue could easily snatch meat from hooks placed 15 feet in the air.
